I had just been reading a phrase from Hazlitt which Eli Siegel quotes in his "Theory of Opposites"in the Aesthetic Realism journal,and I think this painting really exemplifying Heaviness adn Lightness. This is a really astounding example of the weight of th peach, the dark, soft fuzz, and the hard, bright lightness of that china dish. Thank you I really said Wow! when I saw it.
