The feeling of depth in this piece is incredible. I'm right there with the sensuous brush stroke at the "foot" of the canvas and then can feel that provencial haze on that rocky face in the distance. This is my memory of Provence from a few years ago in a hilltop village when I didn't have a camera. Though I wasn't successful in taking home this belated souvenier today, you brought back wonderful memories and made the images in my mind even more vivid. Thanks Julian!
