Oh! Yes, I agree with Leslee!!! I love that crispy skin, the composition is divine, and I particularly love the yummy, dirty purples in the onion. What a wonderful painting, Julian!

I sucked all the air out of the room when I saw this picture on my screen. What's the word for that? Gasped? Yeah, big gasp. This is definitely one of my favorites. I want it. You are a modern day Master!

right now i am reading cezanne in provence, and it looks like the place has not changed in all those years. julian your still lifes have such a wonderful quality to them--they are very much ALIVE; even your poor fish seem to be breathing! i hope this painting goes to a gourmet.
